Important Tags FAQ
Tags are like a label that you can freely add and remove as needed. By using Tags, you can create lists or groups for any reason, and the lists will change as you add or remove Tags.
💡 Whether you're in the "My Contacts" or "My Companies" section of your account, the steps are the same to create, use, and manage Tags.
✖️ However, Contact Tags are a distinct set separate from Company Tags. This means that a Tag used on Contacts cannot be used on Companies, and vice versa.
🔢 You can add multiple Tags to profiles; layering Tags is helpful to create a rich and meaningful view of your data.
🧑🎨 Get creative with Tags! Use dates, descriptive names, emojis, and make as many as you need. You can always cleanup unused Tags later.

Tags FAQ
❓ Can Tags include emojis or special characters?
Emojis are not allowed, but all alphabets and numerals are allowed as are these standard characters:
^ [] _ - \ / . , ' & () : + <> # @ !| ~ $ % = * $
❓ It won't let me save this tag.
The system automatically rejects duplicates, as well as emojis and disallowed characters (see above). Please check if your tag already exists by going to either My Contacts > Manage Tags or My Companies > Manage Tags (yes, these are separate! Please also verify that you're creating the new tag for the appropriate type of content, either Contacts or Companies).
❓ Are there limits for tags?
Tags are a helpful organizing tool, and we want you to use them comfortably to do whatever you need. For practical purposes only, a few limits have been built in to ensure optimal performance.
- 50 characters - maximum length for a tag's name
- 50 tags - maximum number of tags that can be applied to a profile
- 1000 custom tags - maximum number of user-created custom tags per user account (does not apply to / include system-created tags)
