How to Create and Manage Team Tags

Team Tags: Collaborate on Lists

Use Team Tags to create shared visibility among the members of your RocketReach team. Unlike standard Tags which are seen only by you, everyone on your team can see Team Tags that have been applied to Companies. Once created, a Team Tag can be used by any member of your team, making it easier to collaborate on shared work.

Key Points:

  • Team Tags are currently available only for tagging Companies. (Team Tags for Contacts is being considered.)
  • Team Tags requires a team with more than one user and a Pro, Ultimate, or Custom plan.
  • Any member of the team can create a Team Tag. Only the Team Owner and Team Admins can delete a Team Tag.
  • Once created, any member of the team can apply a Team Tag or use it to filter and organize.
  • Hover over a Team Tag badge to see details about who created or applied the tag.
  • Team Tags for use on Companies are separate and distinct from Team Tags for use on Contacts (which currently don't exist!). This is the same functionality as individual user Tags.
  • A Team Tag that has been applied to a Company will be represented as a small badge (icon) next to the company name. All members of the team will see the icon wherever the tagged Company is seen:

💡 PRO TIP:  You can create new Team Tags and apply them to companies anywhere that you can apply Personal Tags.  Learn More about Personal Tags

 

The fastest way to tag companies is in bulk.

Option A: Tag Companies from an Uploaded List (Fastest Method)

  1. Go to the "Upload List" tool.
  2. Upload your CSV or list of company LinkedIn URLs.
  3. In the upload options, choose to add a "Team Tag".
  4. Type in your new tag name (like a project name or client name ) and hit Enter.
  5. All companies on your list will be tagged at once.

Option B: Tag Companies from "My Companies"

  1. Go to your "My Companies" page.
  2. Use the checkboxes to select the companies you want to tag. You can select the entire page with the checkbox at the top.
  3. At the top of the list, click "Bulk Actions" and choose "Add Tags".
  4. Select the "Team Tag" option.
  5. Type your new tag name and hit Enter , or choose an existing tag from the list.

How to Manage, Edit, and Delete Team Tags

  1. Navigate to the My Companies page to edit, delete, or manage Team Tags.
  2. Toward the top right corner, click on "Manage Tags".
  3. On the next page, click the "Team" heading to switch to viewing the Team Tags.
  4. Depending on your team role and which team tags you created or used, you can:
    • View companies where you've applied the team tag (blue arrow button on right, if shown):

    • Delete tags you no longer need (red trash can button on right, if shown):

💡 Important Tips:

  • Deleting a Team Tag will completely remove it for all team members, so Team Tags can be deleted only by Team Owners and Team Admins.
  • If you are not a Team Owner/Admin, you will not be able to edit or delete Team Tags that you did not create.
  • If you do not see the blue arrow button, it is because you have not applied that Team Tag to any companies.
  • You may apply any Team Tag to any company; however, you may remove only the Team Tags that you yourself applied to a company (unless you're a Team Owner/Admin).
