Use Messages to Send Emails

After you've looked up a contact and revealed an email address, you can optionally send an email using RocketReach's built-in emailing tool, called Messages (previously Compose).

Overview

Messages uses your Gmail or Outlook email account so that you can conveniently send emails to contacts that you lookup in RocketReach. (We do not read or store your emails.)

After looking up a person and revealing the verified contact information, simply click the "Send Email" button to start preparing a message:

In the case that a contact has multiple email addresses, you will be able to choose which email address to use in the New Message window:

Quickly fill in subject lines and email text using saved Templates or our AI email writer, then personalize the message before sending. Or you can write an email from scratch!

Before you send new emails, use the "Sent Test Email" button to send yourself a copy. After a few seconds, you will receive a copy of the email that looks exactly like what your target recipient will see. Review for any corrections or changes that you'd like to make.

Once you're satisfied, hit the "Send Email" button to immediately send your message to the selected recipient(s). Message activity will be tracked on the Activity page, as well as on the expanded contact:

Messages is available for all RocketReach users; however, daily limits apply depending on your service plan. Free users can send up to 5 emails in a 24 hour period, and paid subscribers can send up to 500 emails.

FAQ

❓ Can I send emails to anyone?

Messages can be used to send an email to any email address that you find with RocketReach. However, only email addresses provided by RocketReach can be used with the Messages tool.

❓ Where can I see my sent emails?

The Messages > Activity page provides a history or log of all the emails you have sent using the Messages feature. This area also shows stats on email delivery, opens, replies, etc. to help you gauge the results of emails that you've sent.

To see the actual email body content, please go to your Gmail/Outlook account and check the Sent folder.

❓ Can I send attachments?

No, Messages does not allow attaching files or embedding images.

Spam filters may block emails with attachments and images at a higher rate; to help you follow best practices for cold emails and achieve the best possible delivery rate, we omitted the ability to add attached files or images.

❓ Can I schedule emails to send later?

Yes! You can optionally set follow-up emails which will automatically send 3 days and/or 7 days following the first email. For more options and control, use Sequences to set up a series with multiple emails and flexible delays.
