What are the limits for sending emails? | Messages

Messages: Email Daily Limits by Plan

Depending on your service plan, you receive an allowance for using Messages to send emails. The daily limit counts all emails sent within RocketReach, whether sent individually, in batches, in bulk with Autopilot, or scheduled in advance with Sequences / Follow Ups.

Please confirm your current plan and refer to the table below.

*Please note that the email daily limit functions as a 24-hour moving window. For example, if you send 1 email at 9:05am, that will be count as 1 email toward the daily limit until 9:05am the next day.

❓Why does it say my limit is 50 emails?

To help you follow industry best-practices and get the best inbox delivery success, by default your personalized sending limit is set to 50 emails per day. You may manage this preference in Account Settings > Mailboxes. You can set your limit from 0 to 500 to suit your personal preferences; however, we suggest you keep the default of 50 at least until you have a proven track record of replies and low bounce rates.

❓Why am I limited to 500 emails per day?

Great question! Email service providers (ESP) have become more rigorous with protecting the inboxes of their customers. One strategy used by ESP is flagging accounts that are sending a lot of emails and restricting their ability to send / deliver emails.

In other words, the smart way to optimize the best overall results is to spread out your email use and not send too many in one day from one account (among other important considerations!).

We recommend that you understand Google's Email Sender Guidelines and follow them as closely as possible to ensure that your email sender accounts remain in good standing.

❓I haven't sent any emails today, so why does it say I reached the sending limit?

Even if it is 9am and your day just started, a few things could be contributing to seeing a message that you've reached your daily sending limit.

  • The limit counts all activity in the last 24 hours – not by calendar day. If you sent a bunch of emails yesterday afternoon, for example, that could still be reflected in the limit counter.
  • If you've used Follow Ups or Sequences or Autopilot, there could have been queued email messages that sent automatically. The Queued Emails page holds any email that was scheduled to send on a future date. Once the right date and time passes, if the daily email limit is not yet reached, the system will send out these pending emails – and once sent they will count toward the daily email limit.
  • Confirm your personalized setting for the daily email limit in the Mailboxes settings. If you previously set this to 0, or if you disconnected the Mailbox, you will not be able to send any emails until you fix these settings.
