Welcome! Let's tour all the components of Messages, the fastest way to send emails to the contacts you find in RocketReach. We'll cover setup, creating messages, sending individual or bulk emails, automating follow ups, and tracking performance. Let's start with a quick demo at how fast this can be. First, you'll look up your contact, and then you can send them an email. Two quick clicks that optimize your sending workflow. Now, before we start sending emails, let's connect your Gmail or Outlook. You can do that by clicking on the initials at the top right corner of your screen and clicking on account settings. From here, you'll click on mailboxes and select your email service provider. This is a quick one time authentication connection. You'll select your email inbox, allow permissions, and just like that, you're ready to send emails. Now, before we can actually start sending messages, let's create a template. You can create a template by traveling over to the messages section in your account. From here, select templates, and we'll create a new template. Here, you can name your template and manually write out your subject line and email. Or if you need help writing your template, you can use our AI email writer. Just type what you want, and it'll draft a message for you. From here, you can edit the message to however suits you best. Next, I wanna talk about the importance of variables. While it's not technically mandatory to include a variable, it is highly suggested as variables personalize each email and personalized emails are directly linked to higher click and reply rates. You can include first name, their last name, and current employer if that is relevant to your email. Before actually using our templates, let's send a test email. Sending a test email will send this template to whichever inbox you have connected to RocketReach messages, and you can actually see what the message will look like in an actual inbox. So when you send a test email, travel over to your inbox and see if your email flows correctly or if you need to make any last minute edits. Now that we've perfected our templates, let's get into actually sending some messages. There's a few ways we can do this, but let's start on the search page. Now, if you are a selective sender, you can send emails one by one, just like how we saw at the beginning of this video. Do a lookup and click on the send email icon. From here, you can manually write your email, select a template that we created, or, again, our AI email writer is available to you here. To send an email to multiple contacts, select them by using the checkboxes. You can either do that one by one, or you can select the whole page. Once you're confident that these are the contacts you want to send an email to, you can easily do this in bulk by clicking on the email contacts button. This will perform the lookup for you. You'll be notified of how many credits you're about to use. And from there, you can send your email while the lookups are being performed. If you wanna automate your outreach, you can utilize Autopilot. Autopilot is our bulk lookup tool, and that's located at the bottom left hand side of your screen. Now we do have a lot of resources regarding Autopilot, so please visit our help center to review the content about Autopilot. Well, I'm not gonna go through the whole tutorial of using Autopilot. I do wanna mention that the number of contacts selected here is how many contacts will be emailed. Please also note that your limitation for sending emails using our messages tool is five hundred a day. So your autopilot must remain either five hundred or below in order to not reach that limit. So in this case, let's email a hundred contacts. From here, you'll fill up the criteria and we'll go down to the messages section. Here, we'll toggle messages on and we'll select a template. On this screen, you are not able to write your own email manually. A template is required. So please, if you have not already created a template for your plan to autopilot, please go back and do so. Autopilot is a great way to send emails. We can look up the contacts for you and send the messages all in one swoop. Now, if you've already looked up your contacts and you have not yet sent them a message on the search page, that's no problem. We can go easily send them a message through the my contacts section of your account. From here, the workflow will be very similar to how we saw on the search page. Again, if you're a selective sender, you can easily send emails one by one by clicking on the blue envelope icon. Again, you'll be met with the same familiar screen. You can also select your contacts using the checkboxes, except the only difference here is when you're ready to send them an email, rather than clicking on the blue envelope icon, you'll click the black envelope icon at the top. This will ensure the message is sent to all the selected contacts. If you are interested in sending a message to a filtered group of contacts, let's say using tags, you can click on manage tags and select the list of contacts you want to send an email to. Let's say I want to send an email to my San Diego tech list. We'll click on the blue arrow. And now all my San Diego tech contacts are grouped together in this list, and I can then send an email to all my filtered contacts here. While we're on this page, I want to introduce follow-up messages. Follow-up messages help increase reply rates. They send automatically if your contact doesn't reply, and they stop automatically when someone responds. You'll notice at the bottom, you have the option to send a follow-up message after three days or seven days. Additionally, a template is required to use this tool. So if you have not created a follow-up template, please go back and do so. And from here, you can select your follow-up template and send the message. You can also do this from the search page as well. Once you're ready to send an email, you'll follow the same procedure. Click on send email and select your follow-up messages here. Now, one important thing to note is follow-up messages is not included in autopilot. So if you anticipate wanting to send follow-up messages, unfortunately, it's not included in Autopilot, so you will have to do it a little bit more manually. Now that we've sent some emails, let's track them. We can do that by going back to our messages section in our account. And the activity page is the first tab to load. From here, the most important thing to know about this page is all the tiles are interactive, so you can click into each one to see which emails bounced, which emails you got replied to, and which emails were clicked. Now, if you are interested to see the activity of a very specific contact, we can do that. Travel back over to the my contacts page, locate the contact you're interested in reviewing. And from here, you'll notice that the contact that has been emailed has a little yellow dot. You can also expand their profile pane and click under activity. Here is where you can see all of the emails that have been sent to this contact as well as export and lookup information. Well, that concludes our full tour of RocketReach messages. If you have any questions or concerns, or would like to troubleshoot, you can click on the question mark at the top right corner of your page.
