Integration Options
Duplicate Handling
👤 Contacts: If you export a RocketReach contact that has the same email address as a HubSpot contact, the integration will attempt to update the HubSpot contact with data from RocketReach.
🏢 Companies: You can choose how RocketReach identifies duplicates in HubSpot:
- "Company Name and Domain" – Recommended if you regularly include company domains when creating HubSpot company records.
- "Company Domain Only" – Recommended if your HubSpot has some inconsistent naming conventions.
Automatic vs. Manual Export
-
Automatic Export: Automatically exports every contact as soon as you view it in RocketReach.
⚠️ Please Note: Expect high credit usage if your subscription includes Export Credits. -
Manual Export: Choose which contacts to export, individually or in bulk as needed.
✅ Recommended!
Sync All Contacts
In case you need to quickly catch up—for example, if your integration is temporarily inactive— or update all of your RocketReach contacts to HubSpot, it's possible with one click.
From the HubSpot Integration Settings page, click the "Sync All Contacts" button to allow RocketReach to attempt to export your entire RocketReach contact history. Deduplication will be handled as described above.
Exporting Contacts to HubSpot
You can use the integration to export contacts in six ways:
1️⃣ From the Search page - individually
After you lookup a contact, a blue 'Export' button will appear on the right side: Hover over the button and click to sync the contact to HubSpot.
2️⃣ From the Search page - multiple
First lookup the desired contacts. Then, with multiple contacts selected you will see an 'Export' button at the top of the search results:
Hover then click on HubSpot, or click the down arrow on the right to find your desired integration in the list. Click to select, then you'll get one final confirmation window (or chance to go back).
3️⃣ From the My Contacts page - individually
On the My Contacts page, clicking on a contact (anywhere on the row) will pop open the detail panel. In the upper area, look for the blue 'Actions' button. Click, then select 'Push to HubSpot' from the list of options.
4️⃣ From the My Contacts page - multiple
On the My Contacts page, at the top are a row of buttons for bulk actions, including a 'Push to Hubspot' button. By default, the actions apply to all contacts. However, you can use the filters and checkboxes to select a list or set of specific contacts first, before you click the button.
5️⃣ From the browser extension
After you have looked up the contact, a big button 'Export to HubSpot' will appear above the contact info. Simply click to sync the contact.
6️⃣ Automatically
If you enable the automatic export option on the HubSpot Integration Settings page, then every eligible contact will be immediately exported when you access it (lookup). If you like to use Autopilot for automatic list generation, consider enabling the automatic export too!
FAQ
❓ Why can't I export this contact with the HubSpot integration?
CRMs are meant for contact management. In order to avoid filling your CRM with low-quality contacts that you can't even use, the integration requires that the contact has at least one verified email address or phone number (indicated with a green icon). If a contact has only B grade emails or no contact information, you will not be able to export it via integration.
❓ Can I sync the LinkedIn URL from RocketReach to HubSpot?
Our integration is designed for maximum compatibility with "out of the box" HubSpot configurations. In HubSpot, the LinkedIn URL is not a default Property for contacts, which means it's also not an included value in our data integration.
❓ Can I control the data sync to specific HubSpot properties?
Currently, the HubSpot integration has a fixed configuration and does not support customized mapping to designate data to go to specific properties. If this functionality would be valuable to you, please let us know! Send us an email: success@rocketreach.co
❓ Can I select a specific HubSpot Account when syncing contacts?
The HubSpot integration can "push" to automatically create contacts and accounts. An existing account will be utilized if matched based on HubSpot's deduplication settings. However, the currently does not have a "pull" or "read" ability to be able to see and select a specific HubSpot account.
