Key Features of the News Filter
1. Topic Selection
The News filter includes three categories of news topics:
- Funding: Find contacts relevant to companies that have recently raised capital, including venture capital and other funding types.
- Mergers & Acquisitions: Stay informed about contacts associated with companies involved in M&A activity.
- Executive Changes: Get updates on executive-level changes such as CEO, CFO, or other key leadership moves.
You can select one or multiple topics depending on your area of interest.
2. Time Range Selection
Choose from predefined ranges to see news that happened during the period:
- One week
- One month
- Three monthly
- Six months
- All time
💡 PRO TIP: Filtering by a more recent time range (such as one week or one month) will focus on the most recent news events and is best when paired with time-sensitive call to actions. Filtering by a longer time range (such as six months or all time) is useful when you want to know that the event happened in general.
3. Accessing Relevant Contacts
After selecting your topics and time range, RocketReach will show you a list of people whose current employer is associated with relevant news events.
💡 PRO TIP: Be sure to add other filters such as Role & Department or Location to focus your search to appropriate decision-makers or key stakeholders.
4. Linking to Full Articles
Each contact displayed in your search results has a newspaper icon. Simply click on this icon to open the full article and read more about the event, company, or individuals involved.
