Find Healthcare Providers with Specialized Filters
Navigating the healthcare industry to find prospects or candidates comes with unique challenges. Many healthcare professionals may not have a LinkedIn presence, and matching organizations across different datasets can be complex.
RocketReach customers can now leverage specialized healthcare filters to search NPI data and overcome these challenges.

Overview
The RocketReach Healthcare dataset is designed to help users efficiently locate and organize healthcare providers and organizations using specific criteria, including:
- Specialization: Search based on the provider's area of expertise and subspecialties (e.g., Cardiology, Orthopedics, Pediatrics).
- NPI Number: Use the unique 10-digit National Provider Identifier for precise identification.
- License Number: Find providers by their state-issued license number to verify licensure and credentials.
- Credentials: Filter results based on the provider's qualifications (e.g., MD, DO, NP, PA).
The Healthcare datapoints can also be searched directly:
- Upload List: Bulk search for contact data by NPI Number, and receive all available Healthcare datapoints in the CSV file of results.
- API: When using the API for programmatic or integrated access, you can include any/all Healthcare datapoints in your query and/or in the result outputs.
- Web App: The Person Search page includes a set of dedicated search filters for easy searching.

How to Use the Healthcare Search Filters
💡 Pro Tip: If you are using Healthcare search criteria, we recommend that you apply these filters first, then add other criteria only as needed based on the initial search results.
1: Access the People Search Page
Login to RocketReach, navigate to the People Search page, and locate the Healthcare filter group. It is located within the Occupation category, you may need to scroll down to see it.
2: Enter Search Criteria
This filter group includes search fields for Specialization, NPI Number, License Number, and Credentials.
- Specialization: Start typing a specialization in the text box, such as “Cardiology” or “Neurology.” A dropdown menu will appear with validated Specialization options that you can select from. You may select multiple Specializations; "or" logic will be used to show profiles that include any of the Specializations that you select.
- NPI Number: Enter the 10-digit NPI number if known. This field is essential for finding specific healthcare providers accurately. (You may search only one NPI Number at a time here. If you wish to bulk search by NPI number, please use Upload List.)
- License Number: Input the provider’s state-issued license number to further refine your search, ensuring you are looking at verified professionals. (You may search only one License Number at a time.)
- Credentials: Type and select from a list of professional credentials, such as MD (Doctor of Medicine), DO (Doctor of Osteopathy), NP (Nurse Practitioner), or PA (Physician Assistant). The dropdown menu will help you pick validated credential types quickly.
💡 Pro Tip: If you use multiple filters in this section, "and" logic will be used to show profiles that match all of the selected criteria. For example, a search for Specialization is "Cardiology" AND Credentials is "PsyD" will look for profiles with both criteria (and likely return 0 matches).
3: Layer with Other Search Filters
The Healthcare filters can be combined with any of RocketReach's other advanced search filters, such as Company, Location, Industry, Job Title, Years of Experience, or Keywords. This allows you to narrow down your search even further, such as finding healthcare professionals in a specific region or working at a particular organization.
4: Refine or Use Your Results
The search results will update immediately as you add or change search criteria. Adjust the filter options as needed until you find the desired healthcare providers or organizations. You may find it helpful to try similar terminology to expand the matches, or use the "Exclude" option to remove out of scope matches.
Use the "Get Contact Info" button to lookup contact information for individual profiles, or use Autopilot to bulk add 25+ profiles from a completed search.
