FAQ & Tips
💡Important Impact
If you're using an integration or Messages, setting your Email Type as "Only" or "Prefer" option helps to ensure that your preferred email type is used when exporting contacts by integration or when sending emails from RocketReach.
💡Filter by Contact Method
You can also filter People by the kinds of email address (or phone numbers) that are available for the contact. This is helpful strategy to prioritize contacts that have the type of contact that you prefer to use. (Learn More)
❓What is the difference between "Only Professional Emails" and "Prefer Professional Emails"?
When set to "Only" you will see only that type of email. This is the best setting when you have no interest in using the other type (person emails) as it helps ensure you're using credits only when there is a verified email that is useful to you.
When set to "Prefer" you will still see both types of emails. This is a good choice if you might use either a work or personal email depending on what information is available.
❓Can I change this setting anytime?
Yes, this setting can be changed anytime with no limitations! Please note that changing the setting is not retroactive and does not affect contacts that you have already looked up.
