What are company lists?

Company lists are exactly that:  a saved group of companies that you have selected. Once created, use a Company List to quickly find contacts within the employees of that set of companies.

  • Filter to employees of your frequently referenced companies
  • Monitor job changes at your target accounts
  • Explore new markets
  • Organize projects, and more!

How can I make a company list?

Creating a company list takes only a few minutes, it's easy! You can create a list in bulk by uploading a CSV, or create a list manually following the steps below. 

Step by step:

  1. From the Search area, select the tab for 'Companies' in the top left.
  2. At the top right locate the active list area, and select the + button to add a new list.

  3. Type in the name you want to use for the list, then select the button to save it.
  4. The list shown in this area indicates which list companies will be added to when you click the 'Add to List' button.

 

How do I use Company Lists?

Company Lists are versatile and can be used in multiple ways:

  • Set a company list as a filter when using People Search.
  • Use Bulk Lookups to select a prepared company list and generate a list of contacts.
  • Add companies to a "Done" list to save a historical log of companies that you've researched/prospected.

Can I change the companies in a list?

Yes, company lists can be edited freely as needed to grow and change with your business.

First go to 'My Lists' in the left navigation, then select the 'Companies' tab:

From here you can see all of your company lists. Select a list to see the companies currently saved to that list. 

As you look at the companies in the list, use the checkbox on the left side to select one or more companies. Once selected, you will see controls at the top:

  • Move:  Remove the selected company/companies from this list and add them to a different list (you will select which list).
  • Copy:  Keep the selected company/companies in this list and also add to another list (you will select which list).
  • Delete:  Remove the selected company/companies from this list without changing other lists.

 

How to rename a company list

To change the name of a company list, first go to 'My Lists' in the top navigation, then select the 'Companies' tab:

From here all of your company lists will be shown in the left column. If necessary, use the arrows at the bottom to scroll and see more lists:

Once you locate the list that you want to rename, hover over it and click the small arrow that appears to the left of the list's name. A menu will appear; select "Rename" to open the edit window:

Edit the name as needed, then select the 'Ok' button to save and return to the previous view.

How to delete a company list

To delete a company list that you no longer need, first go to 'My Lists' in the top navigation, then select the 'Companies' tab:

From here all of your company lists will be shown in the left column. If necessary, use the arrows at the bottom to scroll and see more lists:

Once you locate the list that you want to delete, hover over it and click the small arrow that appears to the left of the list's name. A menu will appear; select "Delete" to proceed:

A confirmation window will appear; select the 'Ok' button to delete the list and return to the previous view.
